Come see Abigail as Sandra Bloom in Big Fish produced by FGRHS Dramalums!

Elizabeth Champion directs Gabriel Richard students and recent grads in Andrew Lippa and John August’s 2013 Broadway musical based on Daniel Wallace’s 1998 novel by way of the 2003 Tim Burton film adaptation that August scripted. The story follows a man exploring the truths behind his aging father’s tall tales of encountering a witch, a giant, a mermaid, and the love of his life. Accompanied by a score drawn on the idioms of both Broadway and country music.

Prometheus. Beginnings is a devised dance theatre work, conceived by Tzveta Kassabova with the cast, that takes inspiration and ideas from two plays written by the Berlin-based playwright Kevin Rittberger. The piece creates an environment in which some of the pressing questions of our time float in, come to focus, and interact with each other. Prometheus. Beginnings was originally created in the context of the conference “Diffractive World-Making – Theatre and Science Beyond the Capitalocene” and an initial version was premiered at the University of Indiana.

Come watch the 20th year of Shakespeare in the Arb as the company puts on the classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Abigail stars as Peter Quince alongside a cast full of University of Michigan students and Ann Arbor community members. Her scheduled performance dates are June 5, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, and 26 at 6:30 pm.
